I just had this problem with my car (Nissan Sentra). What I did was take the door panel off from the passenger side door to see how the door handle worked and the set up. On my car the door handle has a cable that hooks to the lock assembly. When you pull the door handle the cable pulls up on the lock assembly lever then the door opens. So after taking a good look at the passenger side I was able to get an idea to where I had to pull up on the lock assembly lever on the driver side. I used a hanger to pull up on the lock assembly lever and finally got my door open. Then took the door panel off the driver side to check and fix the problem. Hope this can help you.
You break it!
