Jack the vehicle up and secure a jackstand to take the weight of the vehicle. Remove the lug nuts and wheel. Next, remove brake caliper and rotor. Be sure to remove the ABS plug connector from the connection near the front of the wheel well. Secure the Calipter up and out of the way. Using an appropriately sized impact, remove the spindle nut security the axle shaft inside the bearing/hub assembly. Remove the tie rod and lower ball-joint to release the hub/steering knuckle assembly from the lower control arm. Being careful not to overstress the CV joints, remove the splined axle from the wheel bearing/ hub assembly. Next, remove the bolts security the wheel/bearing hub assembly to the steering knuckle (3 bolts). Replace used unit with a new unit and reverse process to re-install. Please ensure all fasteners are torqued to the appropriate specifications. DO NOT reuse the spindle nut as it is designed for one use only. Be sure you have a new spindle nut on hand BEFORE you proceed with this procedure.

Remove the tire and wheel from your Chevy Lumina. Remove the end of the axle. Remove the wheel bearing nut. Remove the wheel bearing seal and the wheel bearing. Reverse the process to install the new front wheel bearing.
