Some say you can unbolt the engine mounts and a few other things and lift up the engine. In the s10, I would not recommend this, not enough room. It has been my experience, to do it right and not end up with leaks, removing the engine is by far the best way.
Drop the oil pan
If you don't know where the oil pan is on your truck you shouldn't be working on it!!!!

Drain the oil from your Chevy oil pan. Remove the oil pan retaining bolts. Remove the oil pan gasket and clean the surface. Put the new gasket on and reverse the process.
Drain the oil from your 2003 Chevy Malibu oil pan. Remove the oil pan retaining bolts. Remove the oil pan gasket. Put a new gasket on the new oil pan and reverse the process.
When you are under the truck, look on the driver side of the oil pan.

Place a drip pan beneath your 1995 Chevy Corsica oil pan. Remove the oil pan plug. Allow the oil to completely drained out. Replace the oil pan plug to its original position. Fill the motor with oil.
