Remove Wheels Make sure Emergency brakeis released Remove caliper mounting bolts Remove caliper Remove Rotor Re-install caliper Remove brake pads Use special tool (available at Sears or auto parts not expensive) to retract piston into caliper (Threads in clockwise) Replace pads and re-assemble

There is no such thing as a 2003 firebird, they stopped it in 02 There was one Firebird manufactured in 2003, the 421 SD that never went to production but was revealed at some car shows. No, F-Body brakes and Grand AM brakes have different disk and caliper sizes made specifically for the handling on their respective chassis. Swapping would not only be difficult it would be dangerous.

Depending on the model of Cavalier ( either sport or sedan or whatnot) it may have disk in the front and drum in the back or disk all around. Most cavaliers have disk brakes in the front and drums in the back. Mine does and so do alot of other cavaliers I've seen.
Take off tire and rear brakes off. Take the rear disk or drum off. Replace all damage or broken parts. readjust e-brakes. Reinstall everything and your done.
