Take the plastic cover off the top of the engine. The plugs are located under here. Each plug has an individual coil. You will need a screwdriver to remove the coils. Unplug the quick disconnect and then unscrew the coil and remove. Replace plugs as normal and reverse the process.
Yes
check the spark plugs. may not be catching fire.
This is an understandable question. The quick answer is, unless you own a repair shop, let the dealership do it. The V6 must have two of the engine mounts disconnected and the motor tilted to change 3 out of of the 6 plugs. Also, insist on platinum plugs or better, and bring your wallet. The plugs are around 13 dollars each and the amount of labor involved is incredible. Sorry I didn't have better news for you. Owner - 2008 Dodge Avenger 2.7 Liter V6 - 57,000 miles

It just happen to me with a new battery and new sparks plugs. Believe or not check for oil going into the sparks plugs of the car, or check and change the fuel filter, the fuel pump itself can be another problem to look into. Good luck!
To change the spark plugs in a 2011 Dodge Nitro, you buy replacement plugs at an auto repair shop. The user manual will list the correct size. Follow instructions on new plugs to install correctly.

I have a avenger with 211,000k and when i first picked it up i had to change all the plugs..WHAT A NIGHTMARE its the most rediculas crap in the world. You have to basically take the whole top end of the dam engine off. Its a joke it took forever and a lot of bloody knuckles and cursing!! All for three of the six plugs. I'm sorry and feel bad for you. Good luck!
