Well, for those unfortunate people like myself that have to change the plugs on one of these, you have to pull off the doghouse inside the van, then the fun starts. With a quarter inch ratchet, and one or two swivels and a socket, you must first carefully remove the valve covers.Wich means you have to pull the PVC valve, and then try and tuck all the above wiring aside so you can first addess the valve cover bolts. Then when you do finally get those out of the way you have to attempt to pull off the boots without breaking them,I do suggest buying an entire set of 8 boots since you are in there anyways. So when you get the boots out of the way,its back to trying to remove the plugs with the ratchet and socket,1/8th of a turn at a time.It is not the easiest job,but anyone can in fact to this at home with access to a swear jar and maybe 15 bucks worth of change.
where can you find a diagram to correct the wires from the distributor to the spark plugs on 95 ford e250?
I just replaced my spark plugs on a 1998 Ford E250 V6. The best price I could get for a mechanic to do it was $400.00. I did not want to pay this price and I am glad I didn't because changing the spark plugs took less than 1 hour. I went to Pep-boys and purchased the plugs and wires for about $50.00. (I had to purchase a spark plug socket for my ratchet.) To get to the spark plugs I removed the middle console from the inside of the truck's cab and the spark plugs were right there. You should be able to do this with no problem. (Stay away from the spark plug removal tool, use the socket and ratchet instead.)
they are next to the fuel injectors. underneath the coil for each separate spark plug. no wires on the vehicle. just a boot with a spring connecting the coil to the spark plug. they look really tough to get to which is probably why you only change them every 100,000 miles as suggested by the manufacturer.
Check the Vehicle Emissions Control Information ( VECI ) decal located in the front of the engine compartment ( it will show the type of spark plugs to use and the spark plug gap )
If your 05' E250 has a Triton V8, you don't have spark plug wires. Each cylinder has it's own coil, which must be removed prior to retrieving spark plugs.
