I'd remove the dog house (the engine cover) and make sure the engine is cool. 1996 or newer astro's don't need their plugs changed 100,000 miles because they are platinum plugs. Twist the plug wire boot to loosen it and pull it off the plug. Useing a 5/8" plug socket or deep 5/8" socket remove one plug at a time so as not to get the plug wires out of sequence. Some of the plugs are a little difficult to reach, but sometimes a short 3/8" extension helps. Reverse the proceedure and install the new plugs. Before you reinstall the engine cover start the engine for a minuite to make sure it runs smoothly. This is incase one of the spark plug wires were installed wrong. If you only pull one plug wire at a time you should be fine. Just be patient as some of the plugs are really hard to reach. If you do some of your van maintence I'd recommend purchasins a Repair parts manual from one of your local parts stores. They can sometime be real handy.when trouble shooting problems or just want to know how to find a part location.
