you have to get a o2 sensor socket at any auto parts place, the best way to change is run car for a few minutes, then shut off, jack up car .the sensors screw out! be carefull that you do not harm the sensor wire. or you can make a socket from a deep well socket. just cut about a half inch slot one 1 side of socket. for wire!!
The 02 sensors are in the exhaust pipes but don't know about the updraft sensors.
Only one
All O2 sensors are located on the exhaust system. Start at the exhaust manifold and work your way backward, and count them.
on the exhaust y-pipe there is one on each side of the engine
Before you change the 02 sensors, make sure the problem is not a faulty hose leak. I was having the same problem with my 98 Expedition (Eddie Bauer) and the diagnostic codes indicated that all 4 of my 02 sensors needed to be changed. Thanks to an honest mechanic, the problem was solved by replacing the vacuum hose for under 20 bucks.
Same size as you remove, If you don't want to change a lot of things
There are several O2 sensors on that vehicle and they are all threaded into the exhaust system at various points.
Kinda.... an 03 Malibu has some updated parts and sensors and a slightly better engine but overall they are like 98% the same... The '99 and older Malibus are much more diffrent than 01 and newer 03 Malibu LS owner
wondering if 98 chevy malibu wheels will fit a 98 gmc sonoma?
If your brake is leaking,Its easier to replace with rebuilt ones, then to change the piston and seal,. And you should change both
4 to be exact. and there is one in each exhaust manifold, one before cat and one after cat. gm Jim
If they are the same engine size, they are interchangeable. I would not put a fuel pump from a V6 on a 4 cylinder, and vica-versa. The Malibus from 97-02 all have interchangeable parts
