To change the air conditioner belt, you must first loosen the Power Steering belt. One way loosen the belts is to repair it from above, but you have to remove the air induction system, fan, fan shroud, and battery. The best way is to take the splash guard off the bottom of the car and work on it from beneath. After loosening the power steering belt, loosen the A/C belt from the idler pulley, which is between the crankshaft pulley and the A/C compressor. There is an adjustment bolt in the back. If you've gone this far, you might as well replace the alternator belt (now that you've seen what a pain it is to get this far). When you tighten the power steering unit at the end of the job, MAKE SURE to check the P/S hoses to see if they've loosened while you were Wrestling with the belt. Steven
