there is a trick i learned for my 1992 Chrysler new yorker has same engine transverse 3.3 liter you put on emergency brake put the car in drive and slightly hit the gas with the hood up to watch the engine tilt when it is as far forward as it can go turn off the key and the engine will stay a few inches forward will help with the issue of not enought room to get hands in now all you need is a real good plug socket with the rubber inside otherwise the plugs will fall out and will be very hard to put new plugs in trust me I did it without and second time was much easier with hope it helps
to change the plugs, remove the air filter element - lean over engine to back and unscrew plugs and replace same with new ones
