DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPLACE THOSE SPEAKERS!!! What you have in the back are 4x6 inch speakers, and no 6x9 will not fit. The panels in the back where the speakers are are very very very fragile. Basically there is no way you can replace the without breaking the majority of the tabs or the panel itself. That is one part of that car that cannot be messed with unless you have some replacement panels. I assure you, you will break them. Even if you try to get it done professionaly, i havent seen any installers that will touch them unless you got replacement panels. You dont need to replace them anyway, just get a good set in the front. Its not worth it to dive into that. I was wondering that myself. I went to a local electronics shop, and they have the speakers in the back listed as 4x6.. there would be room for 6x9 but some modding would have to be done.
Hope that helps
