It is very simple, if you have Ball Joint remover, looks like a Very Big C-clamp. You can rent them at auto parts stores.
You jack up the front end, remove rims, brakes, rotor, 4x4 hub, one snap ring, 4 bolts on the wheel bearing, tie rod end, pound out/pull out front axle, then remove nuts on ball joints. Take 5lb hammer and hit the ball joints studs until they pop. Then press out the old ball joints and press in the new ones, put it back together in reverse order, and grease everything. You are done for +/- $100-$150 a side.
Seperate steering Knuckle from I-beam and use Ball joint press for removal and Instalition
The ball joints can be replaced by removing the wheel. Remove the rotor and brakes. Pound the old ball joint out. Insert the new ball joint with a ball joint compressor.

depends on who doing the work and is it 4x4 ; yourself ,parts $90-$120 per ball joint + tool rental (ball joint extractor), and if it 4x4 around $150 for the new seals. 8-12 hrs depends on how much it is siezed
