Remove any braces that are in the way of access to battery. Remove the black or ground cable next....Next all hold downs, which in the case of most GM cars and trucks (a 13mm deep socket on a extension to remove )a plastic hold down on the bottom of the battery. Remove the remaining cable. Now clean cables with some sandpaper and reverse the process. ALWAYS attach the ground (black) cable last to avoid accidently sparking near battery. ........ 1930fcoupe
