Open the glove box. Push in the two tabs, one on each side to remove the glove box. Remove the 2 screws holding the old resistor, unplug.....put new one in.... should take 5 minutes
The front blower resistor on a 98 Dodge Caravan is replaced by removing the cover and disconnecting the wiring harness. The resistor can then be pulled and a new one put in its place.
Somewhere in the path of the air that the rear blower motor blows

You lower the glove box lid by releasing the catches on the sides. You unplug the resistor and remove the two 8mm hex head screws.
The resistor block or blower motor resistor is used to control the speed of the blower motor. That is how you get the lower speeds on your air conditioning or heater. The higher the resistance the lower the speed of the motor.
Because it needs a new blower motor resistor.
The resister is right behind the glove box.
