Not too difficult actually! Loosen wheel nuts, jack up and place vehicle on stands (don't forget to chock the wheels), take the wheel off. Use a 13mm spanner to loosen bolts at the top and bottom of the caliper and a 17mm spanner to stop the adjuster from moving. Take the bolts out and give them a clean! The caliper can then be removed. Mechanics suggest supporting it with wire suspended from the suspension spring. ( I just let it hang there!) Your new pads might have an anti squeal jell that goes on the metal face part of the pad assembly, fit new pads in the caliper housing. Now it's time to draw back the break piston. I used two pieces of 2"x1" and a large screwdriver placed between the wood and prise apart! now the caliper should fit over the new pads easily. Fit the cleaned up bolts (with fresh grease), connect the sensor wires, replace the wheels and don't forget to torque the wheel nuts. Test the brakes. If they feel spongy you'll need to bleed them, but mine was fine so I'm not going into that just now!! oh! mine was a Citroen Synergie b.t.w which is basically the exact same car as the Peugeot 806. Hope this helps. Happy New year!!
