When you start the game it should ask you what difficulty you will be on. After u pick a profile and a level, it should say which difficulties there are. It say Easy, Normal, Heroic, or Legendary.

∙ 12y agoIt will prompt you upon starting a new game. Also, after finishing "The Pit" training course in the first level "S.S.D.D." it will prompt you again as well as giving you a recommended difficulty.

∙ 11y agoThe difficulty can only go downward once you start a game. The only way you can change the difficulty is dying a certain amount of times on one part. Once you die so many times the game will ask you to switch to an easier difficulty.
