The distributor is held down with one bolt, a 9/16 box wrench with a 20-30 degree bend, is needed to remove this bolt. I used a propane torch to heat the wrench red hot, then bending it on a vise to custom fit the area of the distributor. The distributor pulls straight up. Make sure you mark reference points on the engine and old distributor. Transfer this reference point to the new distributor via eyeballing, to avoid changing the timing. Also, make note of which direction the rotor is pointing. If you're changing the cap, rotor and wires, have the firing order on hand to avoid crossing the wires. Always, check the timing with a light when changing the distributor.
