I would try the window switch first , but if you are going to replace the switch then you will see how to replace the motor. You would have to take the door panel apart after that its easy.

It's expensive but you have to buy a new window regulator. it's the whole assembly- the motor, cable and guide. it's pretty easy to change. even easier with someone to help hold the window.

Remove the inside door panel. Remove the window motor track linkage. Remove the wiring harness. Remove the window motor retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new window motor.

you'll have t change the motor and or regulator... you can find one on eBay or at www.regulatorusa.com

It could be the switch,power source to the switch, or the motor is burnt up. More than likely the motor is the problem since the driver side get a great deal more use than any other.

Remove door panel to check wiring to switch and motor See if motor is getting power through the switch - if so motor is bad If no power to motor check operation of switch - jump wires to test if window works bad switch

You need to replace the window motor relay. I've had all 4 window motor relays replaced 3 times each and the driver side replaced 4 times. Seems like a poor design or poor OEM quality.
