Just changed on 1999 T&C. Not too bad. First thought filter inside upper plastic case but not so. Actually 2nd case below and to right of top unit. If same as 99 remove 2 bolts on upper unit. Remove upper and lower air hoses to upper unit ( awkward - they put the hose clamp in hard to access area - found a deep 1/4 drive socket with short extension worked well). Lower case has 2 clips - undo and remove cover. Replace filter. Clips also very awkward to close - make sure tabs properly seated into slots in front edge and that cover is properly seated. Used a long pry bar to force the clips closed - difficult but do-able.
Hope this helps....
Walter This is the same on a 1996 Town and Country, so probably the same for 1997 & 1998 s too.
The engine holds five quarts of oil with filter change.
It is on the lower front of the engine.
The fuel filter is part of the pump module in the fuel tank on a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country.
unsrew the black plastic cap with the built in hex nut on top of the engine, between the air filter and the main engine block, near the back, passenger side.
It is at oil pan height, on the front of the engine.
Under the engine almost centered.
Fluid needed after filter change is normally about five quarts.
You have it checked at every oil change and replace it when dirty.
A 1999 Chrysler does not have a cabin filter.
A 2000 Chrysler Town and Country does not have a cabin filter.
A 1998 Chrysler Town and Country does not have a cabin filter.
The oil pressure sensor screws in next to the oil filter on the front of the engine on a 1999 Chrysler Town and Country.
