It's been years since I've done it but I remember having to take the entire spindle and rotor assembly to town and having them pressed apart with a hydraulic press. I tried everything I possibly could in my garage to the extent of rigging up a bottle jack and the spindle in the middle of the door frame of my garage to try to press them apart but of course I destroyed the door frame!
Use a press, it's the only way.
how to change rotor front disc on 2006 sprinter
Toyota rotor removalonce you remove hub assembly and bearings, inside the rotor the hub should be bolted to the rotor, six bolts. then separate hub/rotor.
help
When you change rotor or main ball joint, or when they get worn.
If it has a distributor it has to come out and be completely disassembled //its under the rotor!!!
take off the tire and the caliper and the rotor just slides off
it's underneath the rotor in the distributor. you have to take the distributor out to change it.
you have to change the rotor cuz the rotors slightly bent or its groover to bad and when u change the rotor change the pads as well on both sides
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_change_the_front_rotor_on_a_89_bronco2"
You have to take the rotor and hub off as one unit by removing the various little bolts and locks involved, including the outer wheel bearing. After removing the hub turn it over and you will see some bolts which hold the rotor onto the hub. Undo those and the rotor will drop off.
how do you change the front brake rotor on a 2001 highlander?
Remove wheel, remove the brake caliper and brake pads, Pull the dust cap. remove cotter pin. remove nut and washer. tilt the rotor back and forth to pop the bearings (front) remove rotor and pop the back bearings. This would be for a 2 wheel drive S-10.
