you hump it you cut it
you cant, you will have to drill new holes, and place the straps there. for safety reason's you can not take the old bolts out
My buddy did the same thing. It was a ground strap from firewall/frame to the engine had broke when he lowered the engine to remove the top bolts. I have seen the ground strap go from frame to one of the bellhousing bolts. Check the wires at the coil too-they may of come off/loose when you lowered the engine or reached behind it.
Remove the bolts on one end of the strap and the strap should pivot down from the hinged end. Use ample lubricant on both ends of the strap.
Disconnect the filler pipe connection and loosen the two strap bolts that hold it up. Lower it on a jack enough to undo the wiring and fuel line connections, that's all there is to it.
twist it. righty tighty, lefty loosey
You should have You're normal ground from you're battery to the engine block a small secondary ground from you're battery to the radiator support. That one is about a 10 or 8 gage wire. You should also have a flat ground strap running from the back of the engine to the frame. The strap is sometimes through one of the bell housings bolts It is more out of the and less likely to get ripped off if it is fasten to the exhaust manifold bolts. Good luck!
Open up the trunk Remove the wood/carpet cover in the back. Unbolt the strap for the battery and remove it. Unbolt the bolts on the +/- sides of the battery. Remove the battery.
It will take a 15mm socket to r&r them.
It's inside your gas tank. The gas tank is on the left side of the vehicle. There is a strap that goes around it and bolts to the frame and a strap that goes around it and bolts to a crossmember. If you get under there and look you can see the hoses coming from the top of the tank. That's the fuel pump.
the easiest way to change the fuel pump is to find your bed bolts take out the front ones leave the rears in a few threads there should be six bolts and a ground strap on the pass side towards the front.dont forget to unbolt the filler neck three torxs screws behind fuel door.and jack up the bed support bed with a 2x4 and climb under driverside . this is how the dealers do it much easier than dropping the tank especially if the pump goes with a full tank.
1 is in the tank. The other is right next to the tank, under the mounting strap bolt.
You have an electric fuel pump located in the fuel tank and is combined with the fuel guage sending unit. You must drop the tank before you can get to it, which means you want the tank as empty as possible. I would spray the tank strap bolts frequently for a day or two before trying to remove the strap nuts. You may also need to apply heat to them but be careful. The tank is plastic and contains a highly flammable liquid!
