How do you change the headlight bulbs on a 1996 GMC Siera?
You have to open the hood, unscrew the front turn siganls, remove the bulbs, remove the bolts holding on the grill, release the 2 bottom tabs of the grill(through the turn signal holes), make sure marker lights are disconnected and remove the grill. undo 4 bolts on each headlight assembly and remove/change/replace the bulbs. Intallation is reverse.
Is there an easy way to release the springs holding the headlight bulbs on a 1996 Dodge Avenger 4-cylinder or and easier way to change the bulbs entirely?
Why does the bright light idicator flash when the lights should be off on a 1996 Oldsmobile achieva?
remove the battery or the storage box to see the screws that need to be removed,or remove the grille to see the complete headlight setup If it is like the 1999 Suburban, there are 2 hex shaped rods comming out of the top of the headlamp assembly. You can see these above the headlight after opening the hood. Just use a small socket (5/16" I believe) and unscrew these 2 rods and the headlight assembly…
If your talking about only changing the bulbs, you have to open the hood and reach behind the headlight. There will be a harness plugged into the back of the headlight. There is a black plastic ring that you must turn to get the bulb to release. Once released, unplg the harness from the bulb and replace bulb. Reverse order for installation.
