Remove connector and then the rubber around the bulb. Remove hold wire then rmove bulb.. The hold wire is at the top, push in and then down.. The hold wire should not be "removed". It is a cheap and nasty little clip that rotates around a pivot at the bottom of the bulb cavity and should not be detached. There is a little loop at the top of the clip. Fiddle vigorously with the loop trying to release the clip so that it can be rotated forwards. After about 20 minutes of cussing and wiggling and waggling on the loop I managed finally to unclip this beastie and cause the clip to rotate forwards so the bulb assembly could be released. Don't get any sweat or moisture or oil on the bulb (I wore clean rubber gloves). There are two possible ways to insert the bulb into the bulb holder.. but it does not seem to matter which way you do the insertion. I HOPE THEY FIRED THE BOZOS RESPONSIBLE for this user unfriendly design. On my previous car, it took just 5 pain free minutes to change a headlight, with all the parts within easy view. On this atrocity, with poor visibility and peculiar design, it took 30 minutes of unpleasantness to get the job done, despite repeated reading of the owner's manual. Honda, please get your act together ! New Answer, After many attemps at willing the bulb out with my mind, I decided to give it a try. I unpluged the light and removed the rubber weather seal, revealing the demon wire retaining clip. The ONLY way that you can get a good look at the back of the headlight to see what really needs to be done is with a mechanics mirror. Of course, mine was the left light that was burned out. In the way of being done in 5 minutes, is the fuse box and the battery. So, I moved the battery out of the way, unbolted the fuse box, and that gives me a LITTLE more room. Still getting in there was tight, so I decided to take out the headlight. Bad idea. I could only find 3 of the 4 bolts, but I did gain a little more wiggle room. After another attempt to will the bulb out with my mind, and some gratuitous cursing, I decided to just yank on the little wire clip that holds the bulb in. POP! Off it came. Be careful when you pull on the wire clip that you dont break the clip on the back of the headlight. I think that once you get all the engine related crap out of the way, it is a lot easier to get to the bulbs, Putting it all back together resulted in some more cursing, and one lost 10mm deep socket into the depths of the front end. When it comes to the right bulb, I think I will bite the bullet and PAY SOMEONE to do it. The design of these lights is horrible, and I hope that enough complaining will result in a design change. Sealed beams perhaps?
