top front center of engine
If it is a 2.7 L diesel, the first is in the fuel tank, the low and high pressure pumps are at the front of the engine high up, the high pressure pump feeds the common rail. The filter is to the rear of the near side of the engine easily visable and is between the pump in the tank and the low pressure pump in the fuel circuit. fuel pressure is very high so take great care.
it controls fuel delivery to high pressure part of pump in common rail engines

What steps are needed to change a high pressure oil pump ona 03 6.0
it is the front top center of engine
change to a smaller size line from the pump will increase the pressure the volume will stay constant.
High Oil Pressure In an engine usually comes from a clogged crank case breather, or bad oil pump.. best advise is to do a pm and hope for the best
Did you change the fuel filter? Have you checked the fuel pressure regulator?
The pump is in the oil pan. You will need a book in order to time the engine when you are done. The new oil pump will probably not fix your oil pressure problem. Try thick oil (5w30 is way too thin, 20w50 is OK in high mileage cars). If the oil pressure is still very low, you should plan on an engine rebuild.
electric fuel lift pump inside fuel tank and high pressure diesel pump on engine driven by timing belt
There is no fuel injection pump the fuel pressure going to the injectors should be about 60 PSI then the injector does the rest. There is a high pressure oil pump which provides high pressure oil to the injectors however a switch monitors that and if it is low the engine will not crank or run.
