To remove a key that is stuck in the ignition on a Peugeot 406 HDI, make sure that the car is in park. Then try to remove the key. If this does not work, spray the ignition mechanism with WD-40 after pulling out the key as far as possible. Then work the key in and out until it comes out.
If you are having an issue with the immobilizer on a Peugeot 307 HDI, you need to recode your key. To do this put the key into the ignition and turn to the on position, hold the Lock button on the key for 10 seconds, take the key out of the ignition, and then test to see if the car starts after another 10 seconds.
Check the Stop Solenoid if it's a diesel. Just fixed one of these. about
The ignition switch should be separate from the ignition key/lock assembly, so I'll say no.
If you are talking about a Peugeot then no, how i know that is because my father is the dealer principal at one of the branches and he has tried it before, so no it doesn't.
