first you will need to remove your instrument cluster. there should be about 2 or 4 screws holding it into the dash. after the removal of it, you will see several "screw in" light bulb plugs just like what is on a headlight bulb or tail light. (these are small though)you turn one way or the other then they just pop out with the bulb as well... just simply replace the bulbs and your all set! any questions? e-mail me....rufus09042@Yahoo.com have fun changin those bulbs, eric
I have a 1995 neon dodge and my dash lights will not come on or my tail lights and every time i change the airbag fuse and turn on the car the airbag fuse blows.
You probably don't need to change the dash lights. On the headlight panel there is a control to dim or brighten the dash lights. This same control allows you to turn them completely off. I don't remeber on that particular car if the light switch rotates or has a separate switch but all cars have this feature.

Neon lamps and neon signs are NOT incandescent. The gas is not glowing because it is hot, but because it is ionized, and the current is passing through it. this is the web where I read about neon lights. createneon
