You have to take the screw out of the oil pan and let it drain... The oil pan in on the underside of the vehicle about middleways back toward the back of the vehicle. The oil filter is also accessable from under the vehicle, but it's a tight squeeze with out one of those nifty wrenches. After it drains, change the filter, put the screw back in. You probably know the access panel for the oil is under the driver's seat, then pour your oil in. Im almost 100% positive it will take 5 quarts of oil.

I'll add this to say:

The oil filter is easily removed with a strap style filter wrench.

The vehicle has an oil reserve tank (how cool is that?!) up under the little front hood which does not empty when you drain the oil pan. You fill the oil via a filler neck which is located under the drivers seat. (I love this van)

When you pull the filter off you'll get a fair bit of oil drainage from the filter mounting boss and filter (the filter is mounted horizontal). My filler pan was just wide enough to span the distance from oil drain plug and the filter mounting boss.

Takes a fair bit of time to do this job. Good 45 minutes at a casual pace.

I used 5.7 quarts of oil.
