Most every automatic transmission I know of, wants the filter and the fluid replaced every now and then. (like about, every 50,000 miles, if memory serves correctly) This is done from below the car by removing the transmission pan. It's a messy job, as there isn't a drain plug. You have to loosen the bolts gradually so one corner of the pan is lower than the rest and let the fluid leak out. I've done it once. Never again. Take it to the shop for a filter/flud change!
hopefully, ... bolted to the engine
How do you replace a transmission modular automatic on a 1998 tahoe
Yes
I have a 1998 Pontiac sunfire gt and it is on the side of the gear shifter (automatic) however, if it is standard then I am unsure.
yes I agree.....
I cannot find the transmission lipstick on my 1998 F-150 with a manual transmission.
The filter is located inside the transmission just inside the bottom pan.
Does the 1996 Honda Accord have power bands in the automatic transmission?
Any of them if it is automatic.
If you have an automatic transmission there is no drain plug, you'll have to drop the pan to change the fluid. If you have a manual transmission the drain plug is in the center on the bottom.
The Neutral safety switch is located on the back of the automatic transmission. it is quite simple to replace. It is probably easier to replace from under the vehicle, but it is accessable from the top if your vehicle is not equipped with ABS.
I believe that is a ( 4R70W ) automatic transmission
