Drop the oil pan (you'll probably need to disconnect the motor mounts and raise the engine a bit.) then replace the oil pump.
Note: If you're just replacing the pump because of low oil pressure, you probably just have worn bearings. Try running the vehicle with a heavier oil (higher viscosity numbers) and see if the pressure comes up.
If THAT's the case, you'll need to rebuild the engine.
That will be what the fan on the front of the engine bolts to.
The water pump on a Chevy Blazer 4.3l is on the front of the engine. The Fan and fan shroud will have to be removed to gain access.
There is a fuse and a relay.
It is inside of the oil pan / bolted to the rear main cap. The oil pan is bolted to the bottom of the engine block. BIG job to change oil pump.
More than likely the fuel pump is bad. Be sure to change the fuel filter also.
Under the power steering pump in front of the engine. It is not an easy one to change.
It is located in the fuel tank.
Mounted to the bottom of the engine in the oil pan.
Inadequate fuel pressure. If that 2000 S10 Blazer has a 4.3 engine, it needs 61 to 66 psi (engine off with fuel pump running) to run properly.
this is incorrect. The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. It is a lot of work to replace. I have done it twice on my 97 blazer. Its expensive too around 300 bucks. The fuel pump on a 1997 Chevey blazer is right beside the engine
What engine do you have? 3.8 v6 engine. fuel pump is behind the power steering pump on the drivers side of the engine. V8 engines the fuel pump is on the passenger side front of the engine Remove any belt driven accesories that would be in the way of the fuel pump. Remove the fuel lines then remove the 2 bolts securing the pump to the engine block.
