1. Remove oil filter. 2. Remove the housing that the oil filter screws into- about 6 bolts (7/16). 3. Slide out gears (two). Inspect face of housing for wear- it will look like a set of scratches from the gears. If really scratched, sand down or replace with new or install a mid-plate. Also check pressure relief spring to make sure it is set properly. Reinstall: 1. slide the gears in proper position, 2. check proper clearance of gears in relation to housing, 3, pack the entire housing with petroleum jelly making sure it comes out the in/out ports so you will prime at start up. 4. Bolt back up 5. Fill oil filter with oil 6. Start her up

on the 89 jeep grand wagoneer there is a lever on the pasanger side between the seat back and the wheel well. The lever is a flat piece of metal that you pull forward to release the lock. the back will fold down and the whole seat tips forward. I hope this helps
