1. Jack the rear end up and place on jack stands
2. Remove wheel.
3. This can sometimes be a daunting task unless you use a little mechanics trick as follows. Place a double ended sledge against the face of the drum, just a little outside of the lug nuts. Using another sledge, hit the first sledge forecefully. Rotate around the drum until the drum loosens. Remove Drum.
4. Inspect drum for damage, if damage is apparent, replace the drum.
5. Remove brake shoes. (more to come)
