Open the brake fluid reservoir top. Remove the wheel. Carefully remove the caliper assembly by removing the two screws. Using a C-clamp slightly press back the round brake pressure apparatus. Remove the brake pads and make sure the 2 little spring pins are also removed. Remove the assembly that holds the brake pads. Take the old rotor off. replace assembly, pads and caliper assembly.

How do you change rotors on s Nissan Sentra?

Secure on jack stands, and remove wheels of the axle you are replacing the rotors of. Remove the calipers, bracket and all. Hang them out of the way so you don't stretch the brake hose. Pull off rotor, a hammer may be necessary. Put new rotor on and with a C clamp or caliper compressor, compress the piston on the caliper. Install new pads at this time if you like. Bolt everything back together and don't forget to pump your brake pedal before you take it out of park

Are the front rotors on a 1997 Nissan Sentra pressed on?

If you are talking about brake rotors. No they are not pressed on. I have 97 Sentra GXE. I have pulled them off had them spun once and then the next time (30,000 miles later) I replaced them with RayBestos. If you are going with aftermarket brand brakes I recommend RayBestos. The house brands aren't the quality that OEM or RayBestos are. There are a lot of really nice premium brands out there but you will pay a premium price. A Buddy's 97 Honda Accord's brake rotors are one unit with the wheel hub assembly. One of the worste for maintenance designs ever. But my Sentra was nothing like that. Hope that helps.
