It's pretty simple. First, you unhook the hydraulic line, and crimp it closed with a pair of vise-grips. Then, you unbolt the only 2 bolts in the cylinder, and remove the old slave cylinder. Next, insert the pressure head of the new one into the slot in the side of the yolk...you may have to compress the cylinder, which easily done by hand. Insert and tighten the 2 bolts, and rehook the line. Lastly, you'll need to bleed the system, since you broke the hydraulic line. Don't forget to drink a couple cold beers in celebration of a job well done. CHEERS!!!
How do you change a slave cylinder on a 1995 Mazda B2300 2wd?
no none of the answers were my question
there is no cable, it is a hydraulic system and you probably just need a new slave cylinder or a master cylinder. Both are easy to replace. it could be that you just need fluid in the resovior.....
The clutch slave cylinder on a 91 Mazda 626 DX is located on the clutch bell housing. To replace the unit, first remove the hydraulic line and turn the line cap counterclockwise. Remove the two bolts holding the slave cylinder in place. Reverse directions to install new unit.
First you need to find out if your slave cylinder is leaking clutch fliud.check lines to slave cylinder from master clutch cylinder if no leaks most likely master clutch cylinder bad.
slave cylinder locationin the Mercury mystique the slave cylinder is located in the transmission. it is connected to the release bearing. the onbly way to change the slave cylinder in this perticular car is to pull the transmission. stupid desing but its a ford so this kind of briliant thinking is expected..lol
The slave cylinder is on the input shaft of the transmission at the throw out bearing. The transmission will have to be removed to change it.
Yes
The slave cylinder is INSIDE the transmission bellhousing , it slides over the transmission input shaft , and then is bolted to the transmission. To change the slave cylinder the transmission has to be removed , but the slave cylinder line can be blead from the bleeder outside of the transmission bellhousing
very carefully
i think you have to change the master and the slave cly as i think ther'e one unit
no it is hydraulic.dont know what your problem is but check clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder operation,if ok may just be a bad clutch
