If you're talking about a 6 cylinder, then it's fairly straightforward. The driver side has normal-looking plug wires, the passenger side has the ignition coils covering the plugs. In either case, remove and label the wires from the plug side, unscrew and remove the ignition coils from the other side. Using a spark plug socket (this is important, the rubber ring in the socket will hold on to the plug, which is deep inside the head) unscrew the plug, make sure the new plugs are gapped and replace them. It is wise to use some rubber hose to start the new plugs so you don't cross thread. Then replace the plugs and ignition coils. It's probably worth replacing the plug wires at the same time. Okay sounds easy enough but how do you unscrew the coils? With a screw drive It looks to have some sort of latching system on top. I do want to break the thing? Is there a specific technique or tool?
