You will need to jack up the front of the car a few inches,8-10.Disconnect the battery!! The starter is on the bottom and just about in the middle of the car about two feet back from the front of the car,mounted at the engine/transmission connection.
To remove the starter simply remove the positive cable from the screw post on the starter coil,remove the plug in connector located right next to it(pull straight out) and remove the two screws from the back of the starter unit,that's it.Installation is the reverse

What solonoid?? If it is the starter solnoid, you have to take the starter off.
front valve cover at the left back corner. It screws in to the valve cover. There is a rubber hose conected to it.

It is just a sensor. My car, however is not a 1992 Diamante, but I own a 1998 Camaro and it is nothing but a sensor. It is nothing to worry about.
