steps to change 140a 2004 toyota highlander
I have a 2006 Toyota highlander hybrid, do I need to change timing belt or chain?
how do you change the front brake rotor on a 2001 highlander?
Open the liftgate Remove the 2 screws at the top of the taillight assembly Carefully " work " the taillight straight back towards you . There are plastic pins shaped >>>>>>>>>>>> that hold the taillight assembly in place The bulb sockets are a simple turn to remove / install
You just have to pull back the trim in the trunk to access the fasteners for the taillight assembly. Once you remove the taillight assembly just replace the bulb.
I own a 2006 Toyota Highlander and the oil change is recommended every 5,000 miles or every 6 months whichever comes first.
The wing nuts are in the trunk to release the tail lite assembly.

you need to remove the taillight assembly. you will see all the bulbs.
Open the tailgate. Notice the two small Phillip head screws along side the taillight assembly area. Remove the two screws and you can wiggle the taillight assembly out so you can change the bulbs.
Belt - change at 90,000 miles.
