You may have a serpentine belt on that car. I believe they had an electric fan. The serpentine belt is black and you can see it by your alternator, A/C compressor, etc. Under the hood of your car should be sticker on how to route the belt. You must first remove the radiator then remove the timing belt cover. Keep in mind you'll need a 10mm socket/ wrench and a 6mm hex driver along with screw drivers. Taking the fan and fan cluth off the water pump has helped me in the past. You don't have to be under the car for this, I did this from above only.
In short, no. There are a few people that have custom built supercharger kits for the 300ZX, using both roots- and centrifugal-type superchargers. But no ready-made kits are available, as far as I know. And I been looking. The general consensus is that supercharging the VG30DE is a waste of time, and that turbos are far superior.
The knock sensor on Nissan 300ZX non-turbo from 1990 thru 1996 is located below the lower intake manifold on the rear of the engine block. To replace the knock sensor the upper and lower intake manifolds need to be removed. It is always best to replace the knock sensor with a new one considering its major dissasembly.
