What is plasticSolid or liquid

zerozeroConsistency limits and plasticityConsistency varies with the water content of the soil. The consistency of a soil can range from (dry) solid to semi-solid to plastic to liquid (wet). The water contents at which the consistency changes from one state to the next are called consistency limits (or Atterberg limits). Two of these are utilised in the classification of fine soils:Liquid limit (wL) - change of consistency from plastic to liquidPlastic limit (wP) - change of consistency from brittle/crumbly to plasticMeasures of liquid and plastic limit values can be obtained from laboratory tests.

The polydiacethylenes (PDAs) change colour from blue to red when heated

because plastic is not liquid so thats why plastic is solid

The coin become a liquid by melting; after freezing the liquid change in a solid . But it is possible to destroy some plastic components of the fridge.

No, the melting of plastic is not a chemical reaction. This is because there is just a temperature change, which happens to change solid to liquid. The solid remains the same element with the same properties, and no "new substance" is formed.

Discuss six uses of the liquid limit & plastic limit

Yes, the water has turned into ice. It was a liquid but it is now a solid. You can change it back again by melting it.

Soft Plastic Lures are made of liquid plastic that is heated and then cooled to set.

Gas to liquid change is condensation.Liquid to gas change is evaporation or boiling.

Yes, liquid has a constant volume. For example, if you tried to squeeze a water filled plastic bag, the water might change shape, but its volume would not decrease or increase.

A liquid evaporating is a physical change. Anything changing from a solid to a liquid (or liquid to solid), or from a liquid to gas (or gas to liquid) is a physical change).

Sure, change from solid to liquid is a physical change

To change a gas to a liquid, you condense it.

The change of a gas into a liquid is condensation.

the change from a liquid to a gas is evaporation

To change an apple to a liquid you have to juice it.

A plastic container will keep a liquid hot longer than a metal container because plastic insulates heat better than metal.

No. It is a liquid metal.

Thermosetting plastic has a liquid inside it that is fireproof. Thermosetting plastic can't be melted again.

Physical change, the ice candy was in liquid form and transformed into a solid-state. This is a physical change because it does not change to a different substance. It is still ice candy but frozen.

No, changing containers will not change the liquid volume.

Plastic is not an absorbent material. To the contrary, plastic is waterproof and can be used to make a wide variety of liquid containers.
