easy take out the drain plug (lower plug) located midway through the transmission using a 3/8 drive. This will drain the tranny oil. Then break the upper plug loose and put the lower plug in and tighten. Slowly fill the tranny with 85w/90 through the upper plug until it flows out of the plug you are filling. Finally install the fill plug and tighten.
the seals in the transmission are shrunk but will expand when the oil gets warm so it will then shift

There should be a cap on the back of your engine above the transmission, in big bold letters is the word oil, twist and fill. :)
YES, IT WILL IT WILL FIT IN THERE PERFECTLY WITH NO PROBLEMS AT ALL! I HAVE BEEN CHANGING GEO ENGINES FOR 25 YEARS I HAVE PUT A 89 GEO TRACKER ENGINE INTO 91 GEO STORMS LOTS OF TIMES. WHEN CHANGING ENGINES ALWAYS CHECK YOUR MUFFLER BELTS AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PLENTY OF OIL, TRANSMISSION FLUID, BLINKER FLUID, AND REAR END OIL. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR SEALS ALSO. SINCERELY CHUCK DAVIS
The Geo. Tracker OIl Cap. is 41/2 Qts. of oil--unless you use a larger oil filter such as a Fram ph3400 then it becomes 5 Qts. Al S.
Hi, The oil capacity for the 1994 Geo Tracker with the 1.6 engine is 4.5 quarts with the filter. Steve H.
Everything is back together and ready to run I assume. Just fill the transmission and fluid will be pumped into the torque converter as it runs.
IF ITS A MANUAL TRANSMISSION THERE ISNT ONE. (THERE IS A PLUG ON THE TRANS TO PUT GEAR OIL INTO.) BUT THE AUTOMATICS ARE FOUND NEAR THE FIRE WALL JUST BESIDE THE DISTRIBUTOR HOPE THIS HELPS.
When you take off the transmission oil pan, you'll see it. Follow the wire from the electrical connector where it comes in to the trans. Ed
