Go to your local auto parts store and buy a Haynes repair manual for your vehicle. I have a 98 expo and the same repair manual. It gives you a breakdown of the steps involved and torque specifications. Other than that, take off anything in your way, pull the valve covers (do not drop anything into the engine!), clean the sealing surfaces, place a new gasket, re-install cover and anything else you had to remove.
