If you want to change the background on your desktop for Microsoft Windows, first make sure that you are looking at your desktop and do not have any active windows. Minimize any windows you are using by clicking on the _ icon in the upper right corner.
Find an empty space on your desktop and right-click. A menu will appear, click on "properties" at the bottom of the menu. A new window will appear, click on the "desktop" tab, second from left at the top of the window.
You can choose from any of the preselected wallpapers in the list at the bottom of the window, or click "browse" on the right to choose a photo from your pictures.
Under the "browse" button is a drop-down menu to select "position". This just means that you will choose how the picture is displayed. For example, a smaller picture might want to be "stretched" to fit the whole scree. You can also choose to have the picture displayed in the "center" of the screen with a solid-color background around it. Your last choice is to have it "tiled" across the screen which will copy the picture and cover your screen with the copies in a grid format.
When you have chosen what you'd like, you may look at the top of the window to see how it will be displayed. If you like it, click "apply" at the bottom right corner of the window to set your changes and then click "ok" to exit the window.

∙ 12y agoRight click on the screen. Select "Properties". Click the tab "Desktop". Scroll down the list to select the background you want. If the picture is elsewhere, click on "browse" and select the area where the picture is and click "OK".

i like to go on Google images and search up an image i like then you right it and clik set as wallpaper

∙ 14y agoIf it uses windows, Start -> Control panel -> display(personalize in vista) -> desktop background -> and there you go.
Otherwise, simply right click on a picture and select 'save as desktop background'

∙ 13y agoIf you are using Windows, click the "Start" button in the lower left corner. Then click on "Control Panel". Click "Display", then "Desktop". Then, click on any of the choices under "Background". Or, if you have a picture you have saved that you want as your background, go to "Browse" and find it. Once you have found the background picture you want, click "Okay". If you just want to see how it looks, click "Apply", and then minimize all of the windows to see the background. If you like it, click "Okay", and if you don't, change it.
