The battery is in the trunk, on the passenger side under a removable plastic cover.
To charge the batteries do as follows:
-Open the trunk.
-Remove the carpet.
-Remove the cover (passenger side, behind the tire, but inside the compartment).
-Hook up the charger to battery. Hook up red clamp to positive post on battery, the positive post has a + sign edged either on the post or on the battery by the post. (The battery posts have a + and a - sign on each post, or on the battery near the post).
-Turn on the charger at about 200 amps, and charge it for no more than 45 minutes. This should charge the battery enough to start the car and get it going. If the car doesn't start, it's quite possible the battery is bad and needs to be replaced.
-If the car starts, check and find out why the battery died. Possible reasons are: one or more lights left on accidentally, a short circuit in the system, or the charging system not functioning properly.
-Hope this advise helps.

I have a 97 S320 purchased new and always dealer maintained - the dealer only uses Mobil 1
If you can get into the car,its either the floor board in the back seat or passender seat comes up.You will see a main junction.Negative and positive terminals. You can jump the battery there to provide power to open trunk.
If the battery was charged when you installed it, you do not have to drive the car at all. If not you should charge the battery and not use the cars alternator to charge it.
yes it has.need to replace un setern condition
