Try looking for a white dip stick. Most transmission dip sticks are white. And the fill is in the same place as the dip stick.

I just had the same thing with my 05 - it had "lifetime" Transmission Fluid and did not need to be replaced. It was serviced by a Toyota dealership and they only discovered it AFTER draining the fluid and not being able to find the dipstick to check the level. According to the service manager, if there is no dipstick, it should not be replaced. If you drain the fluid, it has to be replaced by some certified Toyota technician as it has to be heated to a certain temperature or you can really screw it up.

It is like checking a manual there is a fill plug and drain plug open the upper plug fill plug and make shure its up to the bottom of the screw hole that Toyota dealership is bullshitting you to get your money they actually made it easier and there is no such thing as lifetime fluid it should be changed every 30,000 miles. I really get sick of these dealers not being truthfull i have been working on these vehicles for 12 years

Were is the transmission dip stick on a 4.7L 08 Toyota Tundra?

There is no dipstick on this vehicle. It has a sealed transmission with an extended life synthetic fluid. The only way to check the proper fluid level is by monitoring the transmission fluid temperature from a scan tool and pulling out the special drain/fill plug that is on the bottom of the transmission pan. There is a tube that sticks up from the bottom of the pan the the plug goes into and allows any excess fluid to run out of the tube when filling this transmission. It is recommended that you have your local Toyota dealer check this for you.
