There will be a cap on the fuel rail with a service port, don't get it confused with the evap service port, it may be buried but you should be able to see it after looking for a while, when you find it hook you fuel pressure tester to it and crank the engine and it should read around 55 lbs, if you can't hear it when you start it up you are not getting fuel pressure anyway, check the fuses and inertia switch if it has one. it might also be a damaged wire on the pump let me know.
If it is working it is OK, look elswhere for your problem, the transfer case might not be engaging but i can't help you with that.
