under the hood in front of your steering column there is a "master cylinder". it should be 90% full of brake fluid.

Look at the level in the brake fluid reservoir.
Check the brake fluid.
Check the brake fluid level in the brake master cylinder in your engine compartment and see if it is down - that will turn on the light

check your break fluid, may be low.
When refilling brake fluid it is important to use the correct type of fluid for the car. For a 1995 Toyota Corolla the correct fluid is brake fluid dot 3 or brake fluid dot 4.
Check the fluid level in the master cylinder.

Open your hood up and check your brake fluid reservoir.. it should be in the upper right of the engine compartment.. it's not hard to miss... check your level.
