With the dip stick on the side of the motor. Right side to be exact.

To check the coolant level of a vehicle first see look for the overflow reservoir. There should be a coolant dipstick with a level gauge on it. Remove it from the reservoir to see the coolant level.
Add 2 quarts of Honda 4stroke motor oil then check the level @ dipstick and adjust accordingly. Good luck & don't forget to change the oil filter.
Check your thermostat or water pump and coolant level.

Hold the bike level and check the coolant bottle behind the lower left fairing.
The best place to start would be to check the coolant level in the radiator. If the coolant level is low, fill to full level. If the engine is not reaching the normal operating temp, then the thermostat is bad. Just replace the thermostat with a new one.
