You can't chaeck the oil level in a newer 2stroke you have to just change the oil and put the right amount back in it.
this is directly from Yamaha i work at a dealership 5w oil is recommended 329cc or 90mm oil height
you have to remove the oil check bolt. its about half way up on the clutch cover and is just a regular bolt. remove it...if oil leaks out, the level is good. if no oil comes out, visually inspect it and see if you need to add more in...most likely you will. Fill the crankcase until oil leaks out of the hole where the oil check bolt was. At least this is how i do it for my 04 yz125..
Drain it and put the right amount back in it, it shoud say on the side cover right near the oil cap
use decent two-stroke oil, check the container, but 50 to 1 is good.
Want is the engine oil capacity for a 2000 Yamaha yz 250.
A good way to tell is change your oil. When a head gasket blows you will have water in your oil or oil in your water system. Check these 2 areas for water and oil.
You need the mixture of gas and oil mixture for 2004 YZ 125 in the ratio 1:32.
the front fork oil leval is to be set at 130mm from the top of the fork (air gap)..with the fork spring out ..and the fork fully collapsed ....
No it wont due to the keyway location which knocks out the timing. The crank will fit into the 80cc engine but you will battle with the timing which will run the engine in reverse. The 85cc conrod and big end pin fits the 80cc crank
theres no dipstick on a yammaha yz, theres a clear glass sight when the bike is level the oil should be visible in the sight glass!! careful not to overfill above the glass, if you do let some out till you can visibly see the oil level!
