Remove plugs - visually inspect for condition - check gap (2 liter SPI engine: 1.3 mm or .051 inches) (2 liter Zetec engine: 1.4 mm or .054 inches) Ford recommends that if you are removing them for inspection only and intend to re-install them, that you re-install them in the same cylinder they were revmoved from. Since you've already gone to the trouble of removing them to check, you might just as well go ahead and replace them. (Part # for the Zetec engine: AZFS32FE - - - - for the SPI engine: AGSF34EE)
