Type your answer here... several of the newer general motors auto's (ours is a 1997) are whats called a "dealer service" transmission. this means that you are supposed to take your car to the dealer to have the fluid level checked, a bunch of crap i know, im going through it right now with my moms car. didnt even know such thing exited until i talked with my buddy that's a manager at jiffy lube. he told me about it and said that there not even allowed to touch the "dealer service" cars. the really crappy part is that the dealer basically just has a "dipstick"that's the correct length, they just pull the plug and poke it down in there to check it. so basically on these cars, gm just kept our dipstick so that they could charge us $75 an hour to check for us. nice huh? im on here now trying to figure out how much oil to put in the damn thing, cause im probably not gonna let the local dealer bend me over.
You can check the fluid in your 1995 Chevy Cavalier transmission with the transmission dipstick. The transmission dipstick will be on the left-hand side of the transmission and have a bright yellow handle.
You can check your automatic transmission fluid in your 1992 Chevy Cavalier with the transmission dipstick. The dipstick will have marks that indicate whether it is full or low one quart.
The idle on my 1995 Chevy Cavalier stays at 600rpm's when i check it with the scanner. Hope this helps BE SAFE dirt420ba
The Transmission Fluid Check bolt is in the front right part of the Transmission Pan. This is in regards to a 1998 Chevy Cavalier (since I have one myself) and may not be correct for any other year. This bolt is just to check the fluid level is correct and will not drain the entire Transmission fluid reservoir, you must remove the pan to remove the transmission fluid.
in 1996 Chevy started makeing sealed transmations on malibus meaning there is no dipstick. you have to have a profesional check the levels
The 2002 Chevy Cavalier has a sealed transmission. On the front of the transmission there is a 11mm bolt that sticks out from the side. Loosen it, if ATF comes out, it's full, if not, take that cap back off and add some more until it comes out of the check plug (it's very easy to miss! look carefully, driver side, 11mm bolt protruding from side)
you have to go from under the car on the drivers side. there is a dip stick/fill hole
how do you check transmission leval on a 03 Chevy impala
they should interchange check all the electric hook ups on the transmission to make sure the match some of the newer ones are computer controled but 95 should not have this. NO, The trany mount is different
check your transmission fluid or it may be something electrical if your cavalier transmission is run by electronics. If not it may be a sun gear inside the transmission so you may need to get the transmission rebuilt.
To fix the cigarette lighter on a Chevy Cavalier, check the fuse first. Next check the wiring and the cigarette lighter itself for a problem.
