this one is easy. unscrew the filler cap then look at hole, did you look yet?ok right below the hole maybe 1 inch or so there will be a screw.take it out, then lean bike up stralght then start adding ,when fluid starts running out you are full,that screw hole is your;e over flow, simpler back then,for as im concerned 1972 flh was one of the finest machines ever made,i have four harleys and that bike i have more fun on in five minutes than most people have in a life time.hang on to that bike cuz they dont make them anymore.
Holds just under 7 ounces of 80 weight oil. Remove bolt on rear wheel to check if oil to top, check visually. Drain and replace with new oil by removing bottom bolt.
